Our Journey
Our Roots
Basecamp United Foundation was established by Willie G. Smith, an 18-year U.S. Army disabled veteran. Our mission started with a desire to provide essential care and support to homeless and at-risk veterans in our community.
Mission Statement
At Basecamp United Foundation, our mission is to honor and uplift our nation's homeless veterans by providing essential support with dignity and compassion. We are committed to delivering food to local shelters, supplying sleeping bags, hygiene products, and mobile outreach carts to meet basic needs. Through hands-on service and community partnerships, we strive to restore hope, respect, and a path toward stability for those who have selflessly served our country.

Founder
A Vision of Hope
At Basecamp United Foundation, we envision a future where no veteran is left without a safe place to sleep, a warm meal to eat, or the dignity they have earned through their service. Our mission is driven by compassion, fueled by community, and anchored in the belief that every hero deserves a new beginning. We strive to transform hardship into hope by providing shelter, nourishment, and the tools for self-sufficiency—ensuring our veterans not only survive but thrive.
