About Willie G. Smith
Willie G. Smith is a U.S. Army Desert Storm veteran, retired Department of Veterans Affairs Senior Veteran Service Representative, author, entrepreneur, and founder and executive director of Basecamp United Foundation.
During his military career, Willie served as a Staff Sergeant, squad leader, and assistant platoon sergeant. He later continued serving veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs, completing more than three decades of combined military and federal public service.
Willie earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Northwood University. His experiences with faith, military service, financial decision-making, health challenges, and community leadership inspired him to write the Kingdom Wealth Series. The three-book collection—I Keep My Faith, Creating a Financial Blueprint, and The 3 Pillars of Aligned Living—encourages readers to build lives grounded in faith, strengthened by financial understanding, and directed by purpose.
As founder of Basecamp United Foundation, Willie works to support homeless and at-risk veterans with dignity through outreach, essential supplies, and connections to community resources. He lives in Arlington, Texas, where he remains active in veteran advocacy, nonprofit leadership, civic engagement, and community service.
